The Legion of Merit – In order to obtain LOM status, a dog must have sired three or more ROMs and a bitch must have produced two or more ROMs. LOM status is based upon offspring only, and does not require the receiver be an ROM or an AKC Champion. This award was established in January 2009 and is retroactive to all GSMD on record.
