Abbott loop was planned by the Abbotts and built by the Cayuga Trails Club, it is a moderately challenging wilderness loop hike of 8.2 miles. With some out and backs available on the trail. The parking area to the trail head is .9 miles and will help make up our 5 miles needed daily, by doing this and the loop itselt. There are some rocky ravines and a steep ascent at the beginning, crosses some streams with a small footbridge. You can view the map at http://Ithacatrails.org/map Abbott Loop, look at the east and west sections, since we will be covering the entire loop.
